과소화 농산촌지역의 정주여건 실태분석에 관한 연구－ 강원도 춘천시 남면·북산면 사례를 중심으로 －

초록

The domiciliation conditions in the rural areas located in the eup and myeon regions of South Koreaare deteriorating following the rapid progress of the phenomena of aging and decreasing populations insuch areas. Accordingly, the declining living standards of the residents of the rural areas are becoming aserious regional problem following the general difficulties being faced by the economies of such areas. Regardless of the deteriorating domiciliation conditions of the residents of the rural areas of South Korea,however, the residents are showing high fondness for, and wish to continue residing in, their currentresidential area. Accordingly, the need for support for an ideal and healthy settlement of residents in therural areas over their current residential areas is proposed herein. In this study, political directions that can promote the construction of a domiciliation system inGangwon-do’s rural areas are proposed. The following is a brief summary of the results of the researchthat was conducted in the rural areas of Gangwon-do, South Korea, and the political directions proposedin this study for the promotion of the construction of a domiciliation system in the latter. The followingwere shown to be the greatest restrictions in the everyday lives of the residents of the rural areas: limitedaccess to commercial, financial, and medical facilities and services, and the inconvenience of the publictransport system. The residents, however, displayed positive and active attitudes, such as being satisfiedwith their present lifestyles and participation in the various social activities of the regional society. They,however, showed anxiety in relation to their health, or a sense of isolation in the regional society, andalso displayed generally unfavorable domiciliation conditions, with low economic stability and adeteriorating residential environment.
