Study on Load Transfer Process and Design of Mortar Grouted Splice Sleeve

초록

In this study, the previous test result of author was analyzed in order to grasp the load transfer process and evaluate the adequacy of design in grout-filled splice sleeve. To fulfil this objective, the longitudinal and tangential load transfer process of splice sleeve was compared and analyzed using the previous test result of author and the quantitative analysis of sleeve design was carried out. Following conclusions are obtained; 1) In the specimen of short embedment length of reinforcing bar, the proportion of longitudinal load of splice sleeve to the axial load in specimen increased at the embedment length region of rebar in sleeve and so tangential confining pressure. The primary factor to determine sleeve section was not tangential confining pressure but longitudinal load of splice sleeve. 2) In order to develop the sleeve used in high strength rebar such as SD50, it is necessary to design the optimum section of sleeve according to the longitudinal load in sleeve or to increase the material strength of sleeve as compared with existing sleeve.
