Chemical Constituents of Dystaenia takeshimana Stem

Five phenolic compounds were isolated from the stem of Dystaenia takeshimana. The structures of the isolated compounds were determined based on various spectroscopic analyses and identified as cimifugin (1), cynaroside (2), 3,5-dicaffeoylquinic acid (3), 3,4-dicaffeoylquinic acid (4), and chlorogenic acid (5). Among these, cimifugin (1), 3,5-dicaffeoylqui-nic acid (3), 3,4-dicaffeoylquinic acid (4), and chlorogenic acid (5) were isolated from this plant for the first time. © 2025, Korean Society of Pharmacognosy.
