초록

A multi-grid solver is developed to reduce computing time in the adaptive finite element scheme. The meshes generated by the adaptive scheme can be directly used as multi-grids for the multi-grid computation. Elements in the adaptively generated grids, are concentrated around the singular points, which makes the use of simple injection for restriction impossible. To overcome this problem a new weighted restriction is introduced. A magnetostatic field problem with high singularity is chosen as a case study. It is found out that the multi-grid method with the weighted restriction reduces the computing time considerably compared with well-known ICCG method. The computing time of problems where number of nodes is order of 10, 000, is successfully reduced to 30% by applying multi-grid method. © 1989 IEEE
