초등학교 학생의 수업방법 및 체육교사에 대한 사고 분석

초록

The purpose of this study was to provide some beneficial information for developing an appropriate school-level curriculum and to acquire some essential materials for conducting an efficient physical education through some surveys on elementary school students' perceptions of physical education. The 619 elementary school students chosen as subjects for questionnaires were from twelve different schools and to minimize a statistical aberration sampling was done on a random basis. The survey with 12 questions comprise two Subjects: (1) methodology, (2) teachers associated with physical education. The results reflecting frequencies in responses were rearranged into a percentage in terms of each question, sex, region, individual teacher as well as in terms of the existence of a gymnasium at the schools surveyed. The chi-square test was conducted to check if there were personal differences. The yielded results were as follows.First, the result from the survey on the methodology of physical education reveals that students feel that preparing and finishing exercise activities as well as acquisition from each class are sufficient, whereas preview for each class is hardly done. It also reveals that students cannot expect a positive feedback; they are satisfied with teachers' explanations and examples; they hardly use textbooks; they show much interest in physical education; they actively participate in class; and that they are divided almost equally in their opinions in wanting a co-ed system in physical education. Second, the result of the survey on the teacher associated with physical education reveals that 25.7% of the teachers surveyed are in favor of giving different assignments to male and female students, 46.4% are participating in class activities with students, and that 54.6% do not segregate females from males with a chauvinistic attitude.
