초록
This study examined the association between oral health and depressive mood among Korean adolescents using data from the 2024 20th Korea Youth Risk Behavior Survey (n=54,648). Depressive mood was more prevalent among females and adolescents with lower academic achievement and economic status (p<0.001). Adolescents reporting oral discomfort symptoms—including tooth fracture, temperature-sensitive or throbbing tooth pain, and gum pain or bleeding—showed significantly higher levels of depressive mood. Logistic regression analysis indicated that oral discomfort symptoms were significant risk factors for depressive mood (p< 0.001).
