In recent years, considerable developments in optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) have been made in the fields of radiation dosimetry, age determination, and medical applications. A compact and economical OSL system comprising a precision x-y-z stage for loading 12 samples, a small X-ray generator for radiation dosing, and two powerful blue light emitting diodes (LEDs) for optical stimulation equipped with VIS liquid light guides (VIS-LLGs) has been developed. This paper describes the principal features of the system along with the examples of measurements performed by the system. (C) 2014 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
