Pre-season physical activity and injury profile of elite female soccer players

초록

The purpose of current study is to analyze the activity profiles and injury occurrence characteristics of elite female high school soccer players during pre-season training. Twenty-two (DF 9, MF 7, FW 6) players from elite women's high school soccer teams registered with the Korea Football Association participated in the study. The players trained for 5 days per week during the pre-season training period. In the beginning of training period, the training program was conducted to improve basic physical fitness, and the training was organized to improve the players' skills and team’s tactics from the middle of the training period. There was no difference in body weight and BMI before and after the pre-season training period(p>.05). The total movement distance was higher in the second half than in the first half of training period(p<.05). There was a difference by playing positions in all activity variables(p<.001). A total of 7 injuries(contact 3, non-contact 4) occurred during the winter training period. In conclusion, in order to develop an effective training program of pre-season to improve the performance and prevent injuries of elite women's soccer players, individual characteristics such as playing position and fitness level should be considered.
