초록

This thesis is to show how frequently Kim Yujeong’s novels have been used through various mediums. I also paid my attention to his novels as well as his life as these attracted a lot of attentions from readers and dramatized in diverse way. I confirmed his life and novel are be of great value before examining carefully how one source of Kim Yujeong’s life or Kim Yujeong’s novel been used diversely. Kim Yujeong’s character and novel have been dramatized into different epics such as scenario, drama, opera, etc. Kim Yujeong’s lives became materials of novel many times during his life and became novels through Ahn Hoenam, Lee Sang after his death. Recently, Jeon Sangkuk reconfigured Kim Yujeong’s life through “Yujeong’s Love”. Kim Hyuksoo’s “Yujeong’s Spring” and Kangwondo’s Arirang” were dramatized of Kim Yujeong’s life. A few of Kim Yujeong’s novels were also adapted for drama and scenario and opera. One of the most frequently dramatized ones is “Bombom”. “Bombom” was often adapted for drama, scenario, opera, etc as “Bombom” was thought to have “Motive of foolish a son-in-low”. Humorous aspect shown in his novel also would become an important source in this adaptation. Beside this kind of traditional epics, Kim Yujeong’s life and novel were used as a subject of various storytelling in which the best examples were Kim Yujeong’s Literature Village, Kim Yujeong’s Station and Kim Yujeong’s Literature Contest. Up to now, the storytelling used Kim Yujeong and Kim Yujeong’s novel remains mainly through analog media. However, the storytelling in future will be also seen through digital media. e-literature article, etc will be typical examples.
