초록

In aspects of environmental factors, an analysis of bio-diesel fuels (BDF's) emission gas was performed by using of a type of single-cylinder, four-stroke, water-cooled diesel engine with a variable compression ratio adjustment mechanism (the model Farryman A 30 marine, TQ, UK). Emission components including CO, O2 and NOx, soot tendency (smoke %), noise sound level, and olfactory images for various fuels and operation conditions were also examined. The BDF's used were prepared BDF 20's and BDF 100's based on soybean, rapeseed, grape seed and palm together with the commercial diesel fuel (DF) for reference. The compression ratio (CR) of 18 : 1 was fixed, and engine speed were 1000, 1500, 2000 and 2500 rpm, respectively. It was found that BDF's is increased about 30% for CO, decreased about 28% for O2 and increased max. 28% for NOx compared with DF, respectively; the smoke % of BDF's is reduced crucially up to max. 60% in comparison to that of DF; and noise sound level does make little differences in both BDF's and DF. Specifically, odor patterns of each fuel used were provided as chromatograms and frequency patterns using VaporPrint®, which was analyzed by electronic nose based on GC-SAW; z-Nose.
