An Analysis of the Relationships among Tourist Motivation, Pro-Environmental Attitudes, and Satisfaction under the Reservation System: A Case Study of the Daedeoksan Course in Taebaeksan National Park

초록

This study examines the tourist motivations and perceptions of visitors using the visitor-reservation system to offer for policy development. Using Push-Pull motivation theory and the New Environmental Paradigm (NEP) theory, the study focused on the Daedeoksan course of Taebaeksan National Park. Tourist motivations were divided into pull and push factors, and pro-environmental attitudes was defined as a psychological construct of environmental awareness and behavioral intention. Results showed that 'natural resources,' 'relaxation,' positively influenced visitor satisfaction. 'Natural resources' and 'relaxation' also enhanced pro-environmental attitudes, which in turn improved satisfaction. These findings suggest that nature-based systems like visitor-reservation system should reflect visitors’ psychological motivations rather than function solely as regulatory tools.
