고구마 재배작업의 농작업 환경 및 인간공학적 위험요인 실태조사

초록

In this study, a survey was conducted on farms to investigate agricultural work environments and ergonomic risk factors. The survey was aimed at sweet potato farmers who are frequently exposed to physical strain due to repetitive movements during cultivation tasks. The assessments included physical work safety, environmental and chemical safety, health and workplace safety, and ergonomic risk factors. The results indicated that, while workers generally followed safety guidelines, improvements were needed in areas related to the use of equipment and protective gear, as well as workplace safety management. An assessment of ergonomic risk factors revealed that owing to the nature of sweet potato cultivation, squatting or bending postures were frequently observed, resulting in physical strain primarily on the lower limbs. Therefore, agricultural safety education is necessary to improve the safety awareness of workers and the use of supportive equipment to help prevent musculoskeletal disorders. The data from this study can be used to establish safety guidelines for the work environment of sweet potato cultivation in Korea.
