수영선수의 성, 운동경력 및 경쟁수준에 따른 자아조절의 차이

초록

The purpose of this study was to ascertain the extent to which competitive swimmers differed on selected characteristics as a function of their competition level, athletic careers and gender. From questionnaire data on convenience sample of competitive swimmers(N: 225) from the high school and university swimming team registrated at the Korean National Swimming Federation. The theoretical framework for this examination was Kirschenbaum and Wittrock's (1984) self-regulation model, and the questionnaire used at this study was the Questions of Self -Regulation for Swimmers generated by Anshel and Porter(1996). The finding from the reduced T-test, χ²test and post-hoc test analysis indicated that the difference were found between competition level, career and gender for the self-regulation of swimmers. For the self-regulation are partially different by gender of competitive swimmers. In detail, T-test for gender differences revealed significant differences on only three of the self-regulation's dimension, all females more frequently applied on the problem identification, environmental management and generalization than males did. For the self-regulation are partially different by career of competitive swimmers. In detail, χ²test for career differences revealed significant differences on only two of the self-regulation's dimension, all long athletic career' swimmers more frequently applied on the execution, environmental management than shortage athletic career swimmers did. For the self-regulation are partially different by competition level of competitive swimmers. In detail, all excellent swimmers of higher competition level more frequently applied on the problem identification, commitment, execution than swimmers of lowest competition level did.
