초록

A new pea cultivar, Cheongmi was developed at the Yeongnam Agricultural Research Institute (YARI) in 2003. It was selected from a cross YP303 (Frescoloy / Upton) // YP113 (Sparkle/Early Bird) /3/ YP115 (Sparkle / Euiseongjaerae) in 1992. The preliminary, advanced, and regional yield trials for evaluation and selection of this line (Milyang 16) were carried out from 1999 to 2003. It has a white flower, green cotyledon, pod of medium curvature, smooth seed surface, and green seed color. It is resistant to lodging and root rot disease while the check variety is susceptible. The fresh pod yields of Cheongmi was 10% (spring sowing) and 13% (fall sowing) higher than those of Sachul with 9.84 ton and 13.82 ton per hectare in the regional yield trials carried out at three locations of Korea from 2001 to 2003.
