This study was to investigate lower extremity muscle activity, muscle fatigue, blood creatine kinase activity following eccentric exercise. After downhill running, blood creatine kinase activity was significant increased at 12h and 24-post. The vastus lateralis, biceps femoris and gluteus medius were higher muscle activities in downhill running than that of level running. However, rectus femoris, gastrocnemius medial, gastrocnemius lateral, and tibialis anterior were opposite. In the downhill running, Median frequency of rectus femoris, gluteus medius, and biceps femoris, gastrocnemius medial were largely decreased. In conclusion, muscle activity level and muscle fatigue of lower limbs with decreasing of median frequency in the downhill running were not matched perfectly. This study has shown that although the blood creatine kinase was significant increased in the downhill running, they were caused by just muscle damage during eccentric exercise, like downhill running.
