Light-induced effects on the rapidly cooled state in hydrogenated amorphous silicon

We have investigated the effects of light-induced conductivity changes on the thermal quenched state in phosphorus-doped hydrogenated amorphous silicon (a-Si:H). It was observed that the dark conductivity change strongly depends on cooling history, but the photoconductivity change is independent of that. The results will be discussed on the basis of the existing models for thermal equilibrium processes. © 1989 The American Physical Society.
