초록
The co-pyrolysis characteristics of wood and acrylonitrile butadiene-styrene(ABS) resin mixtures has been studied by thermogravimetry(TG) and gas chromatograph-mass spectrometry(GC-MS) at various heating rates, reaction temperatures and mixing ratios. A preliminary thermogravimetric investigation shows that wood is thermally degraded at a lower temperature than ABS resin. As the reaction temperatures and heating rates were increased, the yield of liquid products decreased whereas that of gaseous products and residue increased. The optimum temperature for ABS/wood mixture conversion which corresponds to the maximum yield of liquid products was 500oC. The yield of carbon dioxide decreased as the reaction temperatures and heating rates were increased. The major gases produced from co-pyrolysis of wood and ABS mixtures were methane, ethene, ethane, propene, CO and CO2. And the liquid product contained a very wide range of complex organic compounds as alcohols, aldehydes, ketones, phenols and ethers containing oxygen.
