Homo-coupling reactions of heterocyclic aromatic bromides smoothly proceeded with cat-Pd(OAc)(2), indium, and LiCl in DMF to afford exclusively symmetric biaryls possessing heterocyclic aromatic ring in good to excellent yields. (C) 2008 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
