초록

Many ballastless plate girder bridges are still under operation in Korea. Most ballastless plate girder bridge are rapidly deteriorating due to continuous impact force induced by rail joints. Thus, to extend the lifetime of ballastless plate girder bridges, it is necessary to install continuous welded rail (CWR). However, the current track system in ballastless girder bridges has very low lateral resistance, and it is hard to prevent buckling of CWR. Recently, a new type of bridge-sleeper fastener for a ballastless plate girder bridge is being developed to improve track lateral resistance. For the fasteners, the minimum lateral resistance to prevent track buckling has to be determined. In this study, the minimum lateral resistance for a bridge-sleeper fastener is investigated using finite element analysis. First, a finite element model for track buckling of ballastless track was developed. Then, a series of parametric studies was performed to determine the lateral resistance limit for the developed device. © 2018 The Korean Society for Railway. All rights reserved.
