EU 확대와 한국의 무역정책
초록
Due to the fifth enlargement of EU agreed in May 2004 which includes the new ten central and eastern European states, enormous changes are expected in topography of the world economy. In other words the expansion of the volume of market and of transactions between the member states might submit a completely different economic environment. Meanwhile the convergence criteria of 'the stability and growth pact' have made the newly entered ten participants undergo a painful process to accomodate their economic fundamentals. Nevertheless lots of problems would be remained that should be solved for the EMU to operate in a normal base. When the enlarged EU is arranged properly, the major factors that might change the structure of world trade would work in a full scale and would affect some deep influences on the structure of world market and trade system. In the meantime the enlargement of ED might be a serious disadvantage to the other countries due to new effect. An increase in intra-trade between EU member states might reduce the effect of 'trade creation' due to the increase of the 'trade diversion effect'. Considering these factors this study aims at analysing the effect of fifth enlargement of EU and than deepening a understanding of the changes on the trade structure of EU caused by the unifying with newly entered central and eastern European countries. Finally this study will submit some policy confrontation to vitalize the trade with enlarged EU.
