초록

This study analyzes the evaluative statements by readers of modern poetry and discusses the essence and educational direction of the evaluation that can be performed by learners in the classroom. First, we grasped the main character of the evaluation statements, based on expert readers’ criticism of So-wol. We derived an extension based on the world in the text on the level of category of the statement, the selective limitation of text correlatives on the target level, and the intersection of universalized discourse and individual discourse on the criteria level. By analyzing how these characteristics appear in learner responses, we investigated the characteristics of evaluation of the world in the text based on self-projection, limitation of evaluation target based on poetic narrator, and full utilization of empirical criterion at the statement level of category, target, and criteria. In this process, we sought alternatives to the problems. When we use evaluative statement in poetry education in the future, we should consider how to clarify the reader's response, secure the identity of the reader, and also mediate communication between readers.
