인삼 잎의 처리가 브로일러의 육성성적 및 혈중 콜레스테롤에 미치는 영향

초록

This study was conducted to determine the effects of dietary ginseng leaf powder(GLP) on broiler performances and total cholesterol concentration in blood. A feeding trial was conducted with a total of 180 broiler chicks. Each treatment had 20 chicks with 3 replications. During experimental period, each chicks were fed with 0.10 and 0.30% of ginseng leaf powder, respectively. Body weight gain was significantly(p=0.008) increased in chicks fed with GLP during overall period, compared to that of control. Especially, the treatment with 0.3% of GLP produced higher body weight gain than that of other treatments. Average feed intake of chicks was not significantly different in treatments(p=0.564). Feed efficiency of chicks fed with GLP was significantly(p=0.014) improved, compared to that of control, and the highest in the 0.3% GLP treatment. Therefore, the feed efficiencies of chicks fed with 0.1% of GLP and 0.3% GLP were increased by 4.7% and 5.7%, respectively, compare to that of control. In blood, the total cholesterol concentration(mg/dl) was significantly(p=0.033) decreased in the GLP treatment, compared to that of control. Especially, the 0.3% of GLP treatment was decreased by 13.4%, compared to that of control(119 vs 103). In conclusion, supplemental GLP tended to improve the performance of chicks and influence the concentration of total cholesterol in blood
