로마제정 초기 왕조지배 정치선전의 구체적 양상 -'아버지 피소에 관한 원로원 결의'의 내용을 중심으로-

초록

‘SCPP’ was resolved in order to punish Piso and his conspirators for having plotted treason, but it included not only the judicial decisions but also rhetorical praises of Emperor Tiberius, the members of his royal family, that is domus Augusta, and the Roman people of every order who had shown loyalties during the crisis. In this paper I study the rhetorical expressions and assert that the author(s) of ‘SCPP’ wrote it with the intent to admonish Roman people and infuse them with the sense of family-oriented orderliness, that means that the ruling group utilized traditional Roman virtues in order to establish a monarchy. ‘SCPP’ praises not only Emperor Tiberius but also the members of domus Augusta. Tiberius might have wanted to overcome the political crisis which took place after Germanicus’ mysterious death who was a member of domus Augusta and a powerful political rival, by emphasizing the harmony in Royal family. ‘SCPP’ might have provided him with a good opportunity to accomplish such an intention.
