Prediction of Annual Energy Production of Gangwon Wind Farm using AWS Wind Data

초록

Thewinddataobtainedfrom anAWS(AutomatedWeatherStation)wasusedtopredicttheAEP(annualenergy production)ofGangwonwindfarm havingatotalcapacityof98MW inKorea.A windenergypredictionprogram basedontheReynoldsaveragedNavier-Stokesequationwasused. Predictionsweremadeforthreeconsecutive yearsstarting from 2007andtheresultswerecomparedwith theactualAEPspresentedin theCDM (Clean DevelopmentMechanism)monitoringreportofthewindfarm.Theresultsfrom thepredictionprogram wereclose totheactualAEPsandtheerrorswerewithin7.8%.
