초록

Photodissociation dynamics of s-triazine in UV has been investigated by probing the HCN fragments using coherent antistokes Raman scattering (CARS) spectroscopy. The CARS spectra of the ν<inf>3</inf> band of HCN have been measured. From the Q-branch transitions in the spectra, the average rotational energies of the fragments have been found to be 2.1±0.18 and 2.7±0.30kcal/mol when s-triazine is photolyzed at 248 and 193 nm, respectively. Together with the previously measured translational energies by other investigators, the dissociation dynamics has been discussed. © 2001 Elsevier Science B.V.
