BSC-based evaluation on security risks of IT infrastructure

초록

To provide a strategic decision support model which helps the corporate executives to evaluate security risks of emerging IT infrastructure is the purpose of this paper. The strategic decision support model provides a corporate strategy map which links four perspectives of corporate competitiveness including finance, customer, internal processes, learning and growth, and the Balanced Scorecard model including critical success factors, key performance indicators, and measuring methods. This model supports the corporate executives to understand the estimated status of security risks of emerging IT infrastructure and the effects of security investments with the strategic perspectives. By using this model, the security risks of emerging IT infrastructure could be controlled efficiently, and better communication between the decision makers and IT engineers might be realized.
