Timetable-based classroom access control technique using the Internet of Things

The courses offered at universities are organized by subject, professor, classroom, lecture time, etc., and stored in a database each semester, and university students register for classes within a set period and attend lectures at the be ginning of the semester. Although recent ICT technology can be used to remotely set or cancel security for the entire university campus, this is done in special situations such as power outages or fires. In most cases, an administrator with a security key directly disables the security. In this study, we implement a smart classroom access system that auto matically sets and releases security for a classroom according to lecture time, as well as an app that helps users man ually set and release security for a classroom by accessing a database where lecture schedules are stored and checking the lecture schedule. Using this, even if the administrator does not disable the security of a lecture room or cannot dis able the security in time for the lecture due to work such as being late or on a business trip, the advantage is that the lectures in the lecture room can proceed according to the lecture schedule, preventing disruption to the academic schedule.
