Explicit reanalysis approach due to modification of structural members

초록

This work presents a structural reanalysis method replacing the structural analysis of the whole structure due to the modification of structural members. It is performed by two stages to determine the displacements of modified parts and the rest parts of the structure. The method includes the synthesis of floating members of rank-deficiency stiffness matrix. The structural reanalysis is carried out using the compatibility conditions at the common joints between adjacent members to be modified. The validity of the proposed method is illustrated in two numerical applications. © Research India Publications.
