초록
The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of aerobic exercise on body composition, body circumference, abdominal fat area, blood lipid and serum leptin in pre-menopausal middle-aged women. The cycle ergometer training(50%O2max) was conducted 30-60min/day, 3 times a week through 12 weeks. In the body composition there were significant difference on the body weight(p<.01), body mass index(p<.01), %fat(p<.05), fat mass(p<.01), waist circumference(p<.01), hip circumference(p<.001), thighs circumference (p<.01) and arm circumference(p<.001) were significantly decreased. In the abdominal fat there were significant difference on the whole abdominal fat area(p<.01) and subcutaneous fat area(p<.01) were significantly decreased, but visceral fat area was not significantly. In the blood chemistry there were significant difference on the total cholesterol, very low density lipoprotein, low density lipoprotein and triglycerides were not significantly, but high density lipoprotein(p<.01) was significantly increased, and leptin(p<.001) was significantly decreased in aerobic training after 12 weeks. In sum, positive changes were made in body composition, abdominal fat, high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C) and leptin levels of blood following aerobic training. In conclusion, low intensity aerobic training in middle-aged women appears to be helpful for improving the obesity.
