In the present article we shall define the notion of the wavelet transform on ℚ<inf>p</inf> and we shall show that, for any given admissible function hL ∈2(ℚ<inf>p</inf>), satisfying (15), which is a step function, the wavelet transform of a step function f be a function of norms, and moreover be expressible to a summation form. © 2002 Elsevier Science (USA).
