초록
This study aims to explore the expansion of inclusiveness and the capacity for cooperative communication based on Confucius’ philosophy of ritual and music (禮樂思想), by linking the expressions of physical education, the teaching of poetry and literature in the Korean language (詩敎), and the emotional education of music (樂敎). Confucius’ philosophy of ritual and music constitutes a comprehensive cultural concept that encompasses art and morality, politics and education. He aimed to restore human morality and address the various issues of his time by building upon traditional culture through his philosophy of ritual and music. At the core of this philosophical system lies the concept of Ren (仁), which embodies humaneness. Ren serves as the foundation for practicing human qualities, fostering inclusivity in life, and enabling cooperative communication. In our modern society, which is confronted with new changes and challenges, our society hopes that students who will navigate the future will develop the ability to lead their lives proactively while inheriting the developmental direction of previous educational curricula. This study discusses these expectations based on the stages of completion in learning proposed by Confucius: Heungeosi (興於詩), Ipeoye (立於禮), and Seongeoak (成於樂). As a result, the interconnection between subjects such as poetry, ritual, and music, with a focus on physical education, will generate leading values of inclusiveness and cooperative communication. Furthermore, this will provide an opportunity to advance the capacity to enjoy physical culture.
