국가지오파크 지오사이트의 지형·지질 요소 분석 - 지형학적 관점 -

초록

The fundamental idea of the Geopark is highly related to the geological interests. However, a Geopark must include a lot more than geological contexts and care about society economic issues. The purpose of this study is to grasp whether it deals with only geological elements or both geological and geomorphological elements through the analysis of geosites in the National Geoparks of Korea. The pure geological elements are just 17.7% among the total geosites in the National Geoparks of Korea. Therefore, to translate from geostie to geological site in Korean, it means a reduction of geosite’s range. Since the geosite includes geomorphological and geological factors, it would be more familiar and understandable for public and local people to use “geomorphological and geological site” instead of “geological site”. I think that Geopark is for the local residents, rather than for a specific discipline.
