초록

The performances of three similar types of vibrating digger blades were estimated by observing the soil/potato separation and material flow on the bottom blade. Each machine was tested with different drive amplitudes, cam shaft speeds, and forward velocities. Four parameters were compared to see which best predicted the interface between acceptable and marginal digging and separation: (1) 4 the ratio of the vibrating blade speed to forward velocity, (2) p the ratio of blade acceleration to forward velocity, (3) K, the ratio of blade acceleration to gravitational acceleration, and (4) T = lambda K. A value of T >= 2.0 is suggested as a minimum design criterion of a vibrating digger.
