A systemic review on the predictive variables that influence the acculturation stress of immigrant women married to South Korean men

초록

The purpose of this study is to obtain relevant predictor information essential in developing a program for marriage immigrant women. Twenty-seven descriptive studies were selected from eight computerized databases in Korea. In 27 articles, the factors identified most often were Monthly household income, Ability to speak Korean, Duration of residence in Korea, Nationality, Social support, Number of children, Period for marriage, Marital satisfaction, couple’s age difference, Spouse and family support, Depression, Types of acculturation. This would be used to help marriage immigrant women successfully adjust to the new culture in Korea. © 2015 Young-Ran Yeun.
