코퍼스 언어학적 분석을 통한 한중 ‘기쁨’류 감정 동사의 뉴스 표제어 차이 연구 - 1990년부터 2010년까지 발행된 <동아일보>와 <인민일보> 표제어를 중심으로 -

초록

This study investigates the usage patterns and linguistic differences of joy-related emotional verbs that appear in the news headlines of The Dong-A Ilbo and the People’s Daily. By centering the analysis on joy-related emotional verbs and a set of close synonyms in both Korean and Chinese, the research employs a corpus-based comparative method to analyze newspaper headline data published across the two decades from 1990 to 2010. The study aims to determine how emotional verbs function and integrate within media discourse in each language by thoroughly investigating relative frequency metrics and the co-occurrence structures around target verbs. The results indicate that there are three distinct peaks in the Korean headline corpus. The most common syntactic structure is a noun followed by an emotional verb. In contrast, there are two primary frequency peaks in the Chinese headline corpus, and the predominant pattern is a lexical verb followed by an emotion verb. These findings demonstrate significant structural and cultural differences in the language encoding and presentation of joy in public news reporting.
