Research on eco - friendly factors of rooms division in Hotel, using an importance - performance analysis

The purpose of this study is to promote sustainable growth of service-based industries reflecting the propensity to consume environmentally friendly hotel by modern customers. Therefore, it proposes to establish an efficient and environmentally friendly way of operating its business strategy in the hotel industry by literature survey regarding sustainable management or eco-friendly management and empirical research to find eco-friendly factors of rooms division in hotel through IPA. The implications of this derived results of eco-friendly rooms service through IPA are as follows. First the highest importance factor appeared as room energy saving system. It means that the important factor is operating the steady sustainable system such as electricity and water energy-saving systems and the green card policies. And the highest performance factor with the nearest gap of the average in importance and performance appeared as saving water and electric power at rooms. It means that management can easily find ways for eco-friendly customers’ behavior, through changing small parts instead of physics and systems with high costs.
