초록

The first purpose of this work is to examine the relationships among monetary risk, attitude, and behavioral intention in the context of drug tourism. The definition of drug tourism of this work is to travel the area where the drug is legal. Furthermore, the current research investigates the moderating effect of warning messages among drug tourists on the relationship between monetary risk and attitude. Data were collected through an online survey, yielding a total of 399 valid responses. The actual experience was not considered to recruit the survey participants because this work focuses on the perception of the drug tourism. The hypotheses were tested using Hayes’ Process Macro Model 7, and additional analyses were conducted using the simple slope technique to examine the moderating effects. The results indicate that monetary risk has a negative effect on both attitude and behavioral intention, while attitude positively influences behavioral intention. Moreover, the study confirms a significant moderating effect of warning messages on the relationship between financial risk and attitude. This finding highlights the theoretical contribution of warning messages as an effective moderating factor in the domain of drug tourism.
