초록

Due to the rapid industrialization and the population growth, the amount of MSW (municipal solid waste) has been dramatically increased. Generally, MSWI ash is landfilled after preliminary treatments such as advanced separation processes, chemical stabilization or encapsulation, solidification/stabilization with inorganic binders (cement, powdered blast furnace slag or calcium sulfate)to detoxificate the hazardous heavy metals. Geopolymer possesses excellent mechanical properties, fire resistance and chemical resistance. Geopolymer technique is used to as alternative cement production technique. It can immobilize heavy metals in ashes and reduce CO2 emission. In this work, the specimens were made from MSWI ash (bottom and fly) and slag by geopolymer technique. Several ratios of fly and bottom ash are investigated to obtain the optimum condition. Four different alkaline solutions with different pH were used. The specimens were solidified under alkali condition and cured at 50oC for the period of 1, 3, and 7 days. Their compressive strength were measured. Compressive strengths were measured by KS L 5105. Coupling structure was analyzed by FTIR. And KSLT method is used to evaluate the environmental safety of specimens.
