초록

Due to the changes in the socioeconomic environment and institutional policy changes, the size of the social economy is bringing a rapid quantitative growth. Along with this, research related to the social economy has been expanded in the tourism studies. This study attempts to answer the following research question through a systematic literature review. "What are the trends in tourism studies related to social economy, and what directions will future research take?" 55 academic papers published by 2020 were selected and the research trends were examined. The results are as follows. First, social economy research trends in tourism studies are showing steady quantitative growth, and research purposes and research methods have been expanded in various ways. Second, the main social enterprise was community business, and it is understood that social economy is establishing an area as an independent research topic in tourism studies. Third, among the three institutional logic (i.e., policy, reform, and economic logic) classified according to the subject of the research paper, policy logic accounted for a high proportion. Based on these results, academic implications and future research directions were suggested.
