국내진출 외국기업에 대한 투자인센티브의 영향력 분석

초록

Many countries have offered various investment incentives to attract foreign direct investment. However, many previous studies investigating the effectiveness of investment incentives showed inconsistent conclusions on the effects of the investment incentives on foreign direct investment in host countries. Thus, the preferences of particular incentives depend upon the specific situation of the foreign investors. This study investigated an important issue of the effect of investment incentives on FDI in a rapidly changing economy, Korea. All incentives do not equally affect to all foreign firms and incentive preference of foreign firms depends on many variables such as size, type of investment, year of investment. This findings indicate that simply providing a wide variety of incentives to foreign firms is not effective policy.
