The effect of resistance strength training on muscular function of the leg joint

Background/Objectives: The goal of this dissertation is to supply a way to improve the effectiveness of training by analyzing the effect of performance of isokinetic muscle functions on the knee joint. Methods/Statistical analysis: The subjects consisted of 20 men. The muscle power and activation of knee muscle function were measured by using knee joint angles. The experimental group (n=10) underwent strength training and the control group (n=10) did not perform strength training. The data was progressed by using SPSS 20.0. T-test analysis was performed to test the distinctions between experimental group and the control group. Findings: The peak torques (PT) of hamstring muscular strength of the right leg didn’t show significant differences. The PTs of the quadriceps muscular strength showed a significant difference. The PTs of hamstring muscular strength of the left leg showed significant differences. The PTs of the quadriceps muscular strength showed a significant difference. There were beneficial effects of the resistance exercise. The muscle strengths of the knee the exercise group participating in resistance training intervention were meaningfully improved as checked with another group. Based on the results of this study, the resistance strength training showed better performance of muscle of the knee, also it can improve higher isokinetic flexibility and prevention of leg injuries. Improvements/Applications: Accordingly, it may be necessary to make training programs which can develop isokinetic muscular strength to improve performance. © 2018, Indian Journal of Public Health Research and Development.
