DEA를 활용한 공공체육시설 효율성 분석

초록

We aim to analyze the efficiency of public sports facilities with the case of Chungnam province using Data Envelopment Analysis. We approached the efficiency issues of public facilities with the aspect of technical efficiency and pure technical efficiency. This study shows that most public sports facilities were inefficient but comparatively efficient in case of the analysis with the consideration of the number of open days. The total inefficiency comes mainly from inefficiency of management rather than inefficiency of scale. The results of our research supports that we need to plan an investment strategy for activating public sports facilities not merely to improve inefficiency but also to maximize the citizen's utilities.
