Wind Speed Prediction in Complex Terrain Using a Commercial CFD Code.

초록

InvestigationsonmodelingmethodsofaCFD windresourcepredictionprogram,WindSim foraccuratepredictions ofwindspeedswereperformedwiththefieldmeasurements. MeteorologicalMastshavingheightsof40m and50m wereinstalledattwodifferentsitesincomplexterrain.Thewindspeedsanddirectionweremonitoredfrom sensors installedon themastsandrecordedforoneyear.Modeling parametersofWindSim inputvariablesforaccurate predictionsofwindspeedswereinvestigatedbyperformingcrosspredictionsofwindspeedsatthemastsusingthe measureddata. FourparametersthatmostaffectthewindspeedpredictioninWindSim including thesizeofa topographicalmap,cellsizesinxandydirection,heightdistributionfactors,andtheroughnesslengthswerestudied tofindoutmoresuitableinputparametersforbetterwindspeedpredictions. Theparameterswerethenappliedto WindSim topredictthewindspeedofanotherlocationincomplexterraininKoreaforvalidation.Thepredictedannual windspeedswerecomparedwiththeaveragedmeasureddataforoneyearfrom meteorologicalmastsinstalledforthis study,andtheerrorswerewithin6.9%. Theresultsoftheproposedpracticalstudyarebelievedtobeveryuseful togiveguidelinestowindengineersformoreaccuratepredictionresultsandtime-savinginpredictingwindspeedof complexterrainthatwillbeusedtopredictannualenergyproductionofavirtualwindfarm incomplexterrain.
