State-selected photodissociation dynamics of CS2+ in the C2Σg+ state

The optical-optical double resonance technique is employed for the investigation of state-selected photodissociation dynamics of Cs<inf>2</inf>+ molecular ion. The product branching ratios and kinetic energy releases in the production channels were determined by time-of-flight mass spectrometry. The results depicted the enhancement of CS+ production channel which was greater than the S+ channel. The dissociation time was estimated by the fragment distribution for different polarization of the dissociating laser lights.
