초록

Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) is a life-saving emergency procedure that uses mechanical devices to assist blood circulation and oxygen supply in patients with severely compromised cardiac and pulmonary function. Existing ECMO devices use small impellers that rotate inside the blood vessels to circulate blood, which may lead to hemolysis. Furthermore, the use of heavy motors and actuator batteries causes the devices to become bulky and unsuitable for transport. In this study, a new method was developed that uses the pressure of an oxygen supply tank as a power source for lightweight ECMO devices and applies a structure that compresses the blood bag without the use of motors or actuators. Oxygen supply and blood circulation in an extracorporeal environment that reproduced the hemodynamic conditions of actual patients could last for 65 minutes with the help of a 4.8 L portable oxygen tank. Ank, oxygen supply and blood circulation were possible for 65 minutes.
