Development of An Active Vibration Controller Using A Dual-core MCU

초록

In this paper, the time-frequency FxLMS algorithm, which is widely recognized for its advantages in terms of rapid convergence and reduced computational complexity, is applied to active vibration control. A real-time implementation was carried out using a dual-core MCU, and a dedicated test bed was established. The efficacy of the developed active vibration control system was validated through a series of comprehensive experiments. The newly developed feedforward active vibration control system achieved fast convergence speed by adapting the control filter in the frequency domain with self-orthogonalization, while minimizing delay by processing the controller output in the time domain. In addition to the hardware controller, a GUI-based management software platform was developed to streamline its utilization. This platform provides real-time adjustment of various control parameters and enables comprehensive monitoring of the controller’s operational status. To evaluate performance, experiments were conducted using a cantilever-type frame, and the results showed more than 23 dB reduction for multi-sinusoidal vibrations and 4.5 dB reduction for random vibrations.
