해상풍력자원 예측을 위한 NCAR데이터 적용 타당성 연구

Validation study of the NCAR reanalysis data for a offshore wind energy prediction

초록

Predictionsofwindspeedforsixdifferentnear-shoresitesweremadeusingtheNCAR (NationalCenterfor AtmosphericResearch)winddata.ThedistancesbetweentheNCARsitesandpredictionsiteswerevariedbetween 40km and150km. A well-knownwindenergypredictionprogram,WindPRO,wasused. Thepredictionresults werecomparedwiththemeasureddatafrom theAWS(AutomatedWeatherStations).AlthoughtheNCAR wind datawerelocatedfarawayfrom theAWSsites,thepredictionerrorswerewithin9% forallthecases.Interms ofsector-wisewindenergydistributions,thepredictionswerefairlyclosetothemeasurements,andtheerrorin predictingmainwinddirectionwaslessthan30°.ThisprovesthattheNCARwinddataareveryusefulinroughly estimatingwindenergyinoffshoreornear-shoresiteswhereoffshorewindfarm mightbeconstructedinKorea.
