2차데이터 분석을 통한 고등학생들의 삶의 질의 결정요인에 관한 탐구

초록

High school period is a critical stage in which individuals prepare for various aspects of adulthood. The purpose of this study is to investigate the antecedents of high school students’ quality of life. Specifically, quality of life is designated as the dependent variable. This study focuses on second-grade high school students as the target population. As the determinants of this work used depression, number of friends, parental relationship, leisure satisfaction, and study stress. This study used Korean youth panel as the source of data, and the study period is 2006. The number of observation is 3120 for data analysis. For testing hypotheses, this work used multiple linear regression based on ordinary least square. For the regression analysis, this work used gender and monthly household income as control variable. The results showed that quality of life of high school students is negatively influenced by depression and study stress. However, it is found that quality of life is positively affected by number of friends, leisure satisfaction, and parental relationship. This work contributes to the literature by providing information to figure out high school students behavior. Moreover, this work provides the policy implications for better environment of high school students.
