“어떤 꿈이 참이 아니겠는가?[何夢非眞]” - 『夢占逸旨』「內篇」에 드러난 진사원의 꿈 인식 연구

초록

When it comes to the analysis of ‘dream,’ it is easy to think of psychoanalysis by Sigmund Freud or Carl Gustav Jung. Still, discussions on dreams are performed by Freudian theory. Even before the emergence of the terms, ‘psychoanalysis,’ ‘unconsciousness,’ or ‘psychology,’ ancient Chinese had been paying attention to the meaning and value of dreams. MengZhanYiZhi(夢占逸旨) written by Chen, Shi-Yuan(陳士元) was appeared as a book to record dreams with theories and cases in Ming(明) dynasty. This book collected and reclassified to provide the meanings to dreams recorded in the ancient Chinese literatures, which deserves to be called as ‘the dream book.’ MengZhanYiZhi consists of ‘internal version’(內篇) and ‘external version(外篇).’ And the theories on dream are introduced in the internal version and specific dreams classified by the contents are presented in the external version. Internal version deals with a way to understand dreams and external version does the investigations of symbols, interpretations, meanings, and so on which were used by the ancient Chinese. This paper is aimed at exploring Chen's dream recognition. For this purpose, MengZhanYiZhi internal version is the main subject of this study. Chen says that everyone dreams; dreams come from personal experiences, thoughts, and minds; also, and dreams are not as vain as a ghost but as true/real as they can be seen through the historical events. This position is an important concept of MengZhanYiZhi. This book tell us that dreams are closely linked to reality, which is invisible but real and has a very significant role in real world.
