초록

A spherical nano-Si/graphite/carbon composite is synthesized, in which nanosized-silicon and flaked graphite are embedded in a carbon matrix and the flaked graphite sheets are distributed in a concentric manner with a parallel orientation. The dimensional stability of the composite electrode is investigated by examining the change in thickness of the electrode before and after cycling. The carbon yield of the pitch is an important factor in enhancing the dimensional stability of the composite. The volume expansion of Si particles is more effectively buffered in the composite that has a matrix formed from pitch with a low carbon yield. (C) 2011 The Electrochemical Society.
